Just remember, this is an entry level certification in the Salesforce eco-system. So do not worry if you are very new to salesforce. It tests your basic knowledge of Salesforce. Moreover, retake is free! So just sit for this Salesforce Certified Associate exam and add one more certification under your belt. Best of luck!

First of all Exam pattern

  • Content: 40 multiple-choice/multiple-select questions
  • Time allotted to complete the exam: 70 minutes
  • Passing score: 62%

  • Retake fee: Free

  • Salesforce Ecosystem: 32%

Concentrate your study in the following area.

Salesforce Ecosystem.

  1. Mainly need to know about where to use which types of clouds. For example Service cloud for customer service, Community/Experience cloud for customer community etc. If some one knows about these simple facts, then this section is good.

Navigation:

  1. Basic navigations on the Salesforce console and setup section where a salesforce user works daily. Absolutely nothing to worry.
  2. Navigation of the basic features like tabs, user, profile setup etc.
  3. Navigation of the report.

Data Model:

  1. Very basic data model concept around Account, Contact, lead, case and opportunity is needed. Again, nothing too deep. Relationships between these objects need to know.
  2. Various types of field types and how to create it.
  3. Basic understanding of Profile, Role, and Permission set is required. Again nothing fancy. Obviously you need to know where to use what!

 Reports & Dashboards

  1. Essential to spend time on creation of the report and dashboard.
  2. Basic knowledge on types of reports and where to use those.

Tell me how you did.
